Christian Seely owner of Coates and Seely

 

Born in 1960, Christian Seely was educated at Harrow School and Trinity College Cambridge where he took an M.A. in English in 1982.

He subsequently obtained an MBA at INSEAD, Fontainebleau in 1987.
He has spent most of his professional career managing vineyards and making wine in Portugal, France and elsewhere.
Since 2001 Christian Seely has been Managing Director of the AXA Millésimes group of vineyards, whose head office is based in Château Pichon Baron.
Besides this prestigious Pauillac Grand Cru Classé, Château Pichon Baron, Christian Seely is responsible for looking after Château Pibran in Pauillac, Château Suduiraut in Sauternes, as well as Domaine de l’Arlot in Nuits-St-Georges, Disznókő in Hungary, Quinta do Noval and Quinta do Passadouro in Portugal and Outpost Wines in Napa.
He is also the President of the Compagnie Médocaine des Grands Crus, the Bordeaux Négociant, which is wholly owned by AXA Millésimes. Apart from these AXA Millésimes companies, he is Managing Director and part owner of Quinta da Romaneira in the Douro, and co-founder and joint owner of Coates and Seely Ltd, producer of English Sparkling wine in Hampshire.
